Unfortunately, frontline soldiers get all the attacks and take all the hits first because they are called to walk through certain things, so others don’t have to. This is not always fair, but that is the way it goes while God employs you.

David was employed by God and never understood why he was attacked so much by Saul. Prior to becoming King, David ended up also seeking refuge in the Cave of Adullam. All David was doing was serving Saul and he had to fight off jealousy and envy with his own leader. But even though Saul didn’t honor David, David honored Saul, remained faithful, and passed up every opportunity to kill him.

David knew Kingdom principles and God says, we must remember them also. David honored ethical conduct and stayed true to his moral standards when serving his leader and God honored that.

This is a lesson learned in this hour that some will try to kill you along your prophetic journey because they see something in you that you may not even see yet. Even though that is not the kind of prophetic provoking you would like to receive, know that it is all a part of birthing the prophetic in you.

All Saul did was strengthen David for the fight, gave him strategy for the battle, and taught him patience and grace for those he would soon push to the forefront upon his departure from earth. Saul showed him what kind of leader to be and not to be. So, in my closing, whether you are the David in your story or the Saul, every choice to provoke the prophetic in others will either cause unity or division. I pray that you choose to come forth and bring unity to the Body of Christ.

Unity brings the prophetic to the forefront of your daily living! Unity adds to the building up of the saints, not the tearing down! Division will cause pieces of the puzzle to be lost but thank God He sees and knows all because every piece that has been divided will find its way back the more that we come together and do the work that God has called us to do.

Provoking one another to good works is a command by God and in this season people of God, we are going to come out of the cave and do what thus saith the Lord!.
